Dennis P. Gagnon, Jr. is the individual scientist (Geologist) that came up with the concept that a helmet could potentially increase deflection while decreasing reflection. Using some basic Geologic principles associated with refraction (deflection) and reflection he sought out to prove this concept in 2014 by researching and developing a working prototype. This prototype was subsequently tested in the summer of 2017, at a facility that has tested many helmets, BioKinetics and Associates Ltd. The test results below confirmed the hypothesis!
One would think that coming up with the idea, patenting the idea, paying tens of thousands to produce a testable prototype, or confirming the hypothesis would be the hard part. Little did I know that the hard part was just about to begin . . . getting ANY traction with a helmet manufacturer!
So, if you have taken the time to read this, thank you so very much! Secondly, IF you know anyone in the helmet manufacturing business, please make an introduction! This proven concept has the ability to, when combined with state of the art force ABSORBTION concepts, reduce concussive forces by over 20%!! How many helmets can that statement sell?? Talk about a helmet revolution, not a simple evolution of one of their existing models!
